When you choose to begin your healing journey, you are choosing to put yourself first while working towards growth and change. Together, you and I will work to find relief from your struggles, and to develop effective coping strategies so you can live your life feeling alive and rediscover what whole feels like!

What will sessions be like?

I am dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel safe and comfortable as we tackle your challenges together. Recognizing that each individual is unique, I respect your individuality and your story. I will listen attentively and support you as we explore the reasons behind your decision to seek help.

Together, we will set clear goals, examine your self-concept, and identify effective coping strategies. When working with children and preteens, I incorporate games and conversations to build trust, ensuring the process is comfortable and engaging for my younger clients.

I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma, aiding you in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. Rest assured, the skills and techniques we employ will be thoroughly explained, understood, and agreed upon, so you will never feel alone or uncertain.

Education and background:

I have always had a passion for helping people and a knack for listening, which led me to counsel. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from American Military University.  While taking a short break after graduation and watching the world turn upside down, I began working toward my goal of becoming a counselor. I graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Bio:

I am a Colorado native and still feel pure bliss when I drive West and see the beautiful Rocky Mountains. After traveling the US with my husband while he was on active duty in the Army, I still believe we have the best weather around! I am happily married to my husband of almost 15 years, and I am a mom to our beautiful daughter. Parenting is the most rewarding, yet challenging endeavor! In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, eating at new restaurants, spending time with our friends, walking the dog while having some peaceful moments outside, and having a BBQ when the weather is nice. Music heals my soul, and I can always be found listening to a variety.
